Welcome to More Than A Mind, a podcast and a digital sanctuary for navigating life after a traumatic brain injury -- a space to reflect, reconnect, and reclaim your story. This space was created to honor the complexity of healing -- the parts that don't show up in scans or follow-up appointments. Through honest storytelling, deep intentional reflections, and grounding tools for rebuilding your sense of self when your mind no longer feels like your own, you are invited to slow down, breath and remember: You are not broken. Whether you're a survivor, a caregiver, a quiet companion on this path, or simply someone curious about the mind's resilience, become, become more than a mind.
What if the most challenging experiences in life hold the keys to our greatest growth? In More Than A Mind, Cathy, host and traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivor, shares powerful insights and practical strategies for navigating adversity and building resilience. This podcast isn't just about recovery, it's about finding strength in vulnerability. Through intimate, reflections of her own TBI, Cathy reveals how to transform complex problems into opportunities and navigates cognitive challenges to rediscover joy and purpose. Now in the long-term phase of her recovery, she seeks to speak out and create content that nurtures and increases the new heightened sense of awareness that she lacked prior to her new normal. This podcast is a testament to the power of resilience and faith. Cathy hopes to increase disability awareness and advocate the importance for mental health.
